Welcome to The ACP Advocate,
Our first article today notes that ACP is sending a simple message to Congress about the pending threat of Zika virus: Do your job and protect the country. There's “no time to waste,” ACP warns Congress in a joint letter to legislators.
Our second article tells how the new ACP Legislative Action Center (LAC) website has enhanced advocacy tools, making it easier to spread ACP's messages to legislative leaders. Unveiled in April, the website is simpler to use and more attractive than the previous advocacy site. In addition, the enhanced LAC includes new features that aim to put more power in the hands of ACP members who want to speak up for both their profession and their patients.
In our final article, read about this year’s recipient of the annual Richard Neubauer Advocate for Internal Medicine award. The award recognizes an ACP member who has made exceptional contributions to advance ACP’s public policy agenda.
